Dunsborough is located 258km south west of Perth and situated on the west coast of Australia's South West tourist region. Dunsborough faces north to the Indian Ocean and is on the shores of Geographe Bay where the ocean is very calm and sheltered and at low tide walking on the sandbanks is possible.
Dunsborough is the ideal family holiday retreat with its quiet coves, pristine beaches, surrounding national park and nature reserves and numerous scenic walk trails.
Many of the renowned Margaret River Wine Region's wineries are situated wthin a short distance of Dunsborough.
Meelup, Eagle Bay and Bunker Bay offer great beaches for fishing, swimming and snorkelling.
ATTRACTIONS
HMAS Swan Dive Wreck
The largest accessible dive wreck in the Southern Hemisphere, the HMAS Swan, a 120m long decommissioned naval destroyer was blown up in Geographe Bay and sunk off Meelup Beach in 1997. Regular dive Tours are available to the wreck, weather permitting.
Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse
Only 13km from town, lies the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse and Maritime Museum. The tower gives excellent view of Geographe Bay and the surrounding area and also lets you discover Dunsborough's rich maritime history.
Walk Trails offer a variety of routes along the spectacular coastline.
Whale & Dolphin Watching
The town is perfectly located for the annual whale watching season between September and December, when Southern Right, Humpback, Pygmy and Blue whales are moving along the coast.
Bottlenose Dolphins are also regular inhabitants of Geographe Bay.

They offer entertainment for both parents and children. Anyone over 5 can try their hand with a bow and arrow and free tuition is provided, or you can speed around the mini racetrack in an electric race car, or try the tricky 9 hole mini golf course.

Just outside of Dunsborough is a big hit with the kids with animals to feed, a Merry-go-Round, bouncy castles and a lake with rowboats.
Nautical Lady Entertainment World
At the foot of the Busselton Jetty this place offers hours of fun with pools, a waterslide and all sorts of rides.
Quindalup Fauna Park
About 3 kms from Dunsborough towards Busselton is the Quindalup Fauna Park. Lots of animals and other things for the kids to do and see, including butterfly displays, aquariums, and aviaries along with native animals.
Busselton Jetty
The famous Busselton jetty is reputed to be the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere. The jetty dates back to last century and was progressively lengthened to proved sufficient water depth for shipping. You can catch a train out to the end of the jetty where there is now an observatory

On Commonage Road, near Dunsborough. Who would have thought a farm near Dunsborough could successfully sell icecream? Simmos is a must do for the kids. A great place to not only taste great icecream but also lay back and let the kids explore the farm and play on the shaded grounds or play a round of mini golf.
